Types of reports

Custom reports

Choose your own metrics, dimensions, filters, and chart types. Save and reuse for ongoing tracking. Supports line charts, bar charts, and tables.

Built-in reports

Pre-built templates for common analyses: email delivery funnels, cohort retention, flow comparison, contact growth, and engagement heatmaps.

Reports and environments

Reports are separate per environment. A report in test mode queries test data, and a report in live mode queries live data. To promote a report to live, click Clone to Live on the report detail page (or use the API: POST /v1/reports/{report_id}/clone). Report schedules are cloned as well, but start in an inactive state — activate them manually in the live environment.

Export and scheduling

Export any report as CSV or PDF. You can also schedule reports to run automatically on a recurring basis (daily, weekly, or monthly) and deliver them via email. Share a public link for read-only access without requiring a Synapse login.
